"What Heaven Sees In You"

This is an amazing video. I love it and just wanted to share it with anyone that is interested in watching it. :)

Lately, we've been reading more in D&C while Bryce has been preparing seminary lessons for his practice teaching the next couple weeks. One of the sections that he gets to teach is D&C 132, it has a lot to do with keeping covenants with the Lord and marriage. It has an amazing set of words about eternal marriage and the blessings we receive when we keep our covenants and rely on the Lord, as well as being willing to do His will. One part of the section talks about the topic of plural marriage addressed near the beginnings of the restoration of the gospel. It was an unfamiliar topic to us and we decided to learn about it rather than let the unknown worry us. We read a lot on lds.org and the lds newsroom articles and found a lot of things that helped us to better understand the topic. I liked the talk by Elder Russell M. Nelson, called Celestial Marriage... here are some quotes :

"Scriptures declare that “it is lawful that [a man] should have one wife, and they twain shall be one flesh, and all this that the earth might answer the end of its creation.” (D&C 49:16) Another affirms that “the man [is not] without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.” Thus, marriage is not only an exalting principle of the gospel; it is a divine commandment."....

"Harmony in marriage comes only when one esteems the welfare of his or her spouse among the highest of priorities. When that really happens, a celestial marriage becomes a reality, bringing great joy in this life and in the life to come."....

"Celestial marriage is a pivotal part of preparation for eternal life. It requires one to be married to the right person, in the right place, by the right authority, and to obey that sacred covenant faithfully. Then one may be assured of exaltation in the celestial kingdom of God. I so testify in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."
-Elder Russell M. Nelson, Oct. 2008

We read a bunch of things and came to the conclusion that we don't have to know everything :) but most of the articles were helpful in helping us know that plural marriage is not within the church now and that marriage is between one man and one woman, meant to be together and stand by each other for all eternity. ("The Family: A Proclamation to the World" is a recent revelation stating the eternal purpose of families and the joy that can be within the family.) The blessings of the temple are wonderful and assure us that families are forever and we can be with our eternal companion forever if we do God's will and do our best in this life.  :) I love that Bryce and I can be together forever, he definitely is my greatest blessing. The articles we found also stated that if the Lord commands something, then it is in His wisdom and is for the benefit of man, so we should do our best to follow His counsel and He will guide us through life, even through trials and tribulations. He will not give us a trial that we can not overcome  :) what a blessing. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints is true, it brings the most joy to our lives and helps us endure this life in knowing that we have a loving Heavenly Father that knows us and wants us to return to Him. I'm grateful for that :) anywho, thanks for reading my shpill. Life is good and you are loved :)   Sincerely, Tiah   :]

Bridals/Groomals :]

This is the wedding invitation that we made, it took many tries but we finally got it to look the way that we wanted it to. The main theme of our wedding was simple and happy, we hoped to do most things by ourselves and to save money in the process. We even took our own pictures using the self timer on our camera... haha! Except for the middle picture on the side, Steph also took some pictures for us. We had fun planning our wedding :) and we're so grateful for the help we received.
