It's already May! Holy guacamole. Just wanted to say Happy Mother's Day to all the women out there. I prefer to call it Women Day because everyone has different circumstances. So, to
all women, happy day to you. Whether you....
-Have a close relationship with your mother
-Don't have a close relationship with her
-Have your own beautiful children or adopted children
-Have had to let go of precious children that are in Heaven's care for now
-Don't have your own children
-Can't have children
-Were raised by someone other than a mother
-Dislike the pressure the day brings
-Feel like you don't deserve recognition
-Too young/old to have kids/or have not had the opportunity to marry
-Have other circumstances that I haven't mentioned...
Whatever your circumstances are, I sincerely hope you know that you are worth celebrating and you deserve to be happy. Women do so much and endure a lot. On the flip-side, I'm so grateful for the women in my life that have helped me to figure out a little bit about life and womanhood: my amazing grandmothers, sisters, aunts, cousins, stepmother, in-laws, friends, and friends' mothers. There really are so many women that have influenced me. Thank you to all of you. Seriously, you have no idea how much I appreciate you, I hope I can repay you someday. (And not to get too personal, JK I'm going to be real with you haha vent session...) The women in my life have helped fill a void that I have had since I was about 9 years old. I don't actually remember the age, but when I was pretty young... my mom made the decision to walk away from most of the people she knew and that loved her, including me and my older sisters, Harmony and Lacey. We each have had a different experience with the separation, but we each had to learn independence and resiliency. I'm so glad to have such amazing sisters that have always been there. We love our mom, and we always will, but we will not lie and say that the situation is easy. A girl needs her mom. I don't blame her though, she hasn't had an easy life. She is an amazing woman doing the best that she can.

| My family. I'm the youngest of 6 (half) sisters. (My mom had stillborn twins before she had us 3.) |
 |
| My beautiful, radiant, and incredible mother. (She's the one with long hair.) I love you, Mom! |
Mother's day is generally a bit difficult for me, and I appreciate
this article I found, the author says it well. My mom is my hero because she gave birth to me, she was patient enough to be on bed-rest for a long time to save my life, and she has done so much more to teach me valuable lessons. I do miss her though. I am also grateful for my amazing dad, that he was willing to raise me on his own, and did his best to tackle both dad and mom responsibilities to help me have a somewhat normal life. Thanks so much Dad! I have an unusual relationship with my mother, but I am grateful for her, for my dad, and all the people that have influenced my life. I hope in sharing my experience, that someone else... who may be struggling with the less than ideal mother's day situation... will know that they're not alone. You're amazing, keep being you! Love, T
