Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Actually, I don't have a lot to say about St. Patrick's day... Green is a cool color though... and wikipedia had this cool picture of a 4 leaf clover ;) Have a happy day!

Anyway, we really like this song and this music video. Sara Bareilles is a great artist. If you want to, check out her album called "The Blessed Unrest" --- there are a lot of great songs on it.

Happenings of the last week, besides school and work ;)
---We got to visit with some old friends from St.George that are moving up to the SLC area soon, they were in town with their cute little family looking for a home.
---We finally took ourselves to get eye appointments, woo! We got the usual checkup, and they suggested we get our eyes dilated for a better checkup. I tried it.... and it was creepy and weird. I don't know why I'm such a kid about it, but it really was weird. I've had contacts for a while, but Bryce was able to try some out and he's already handling them like a pro.  He has good eyesight, but he got some glasses and contacts for when he needs them. Being able to see details, especially at night, is awesome. :)
Yay for healthy eyes! Half-yay for the weird glasses I got from the eye people,
to protect my eyes from the sun, woo!
---Over the weekend, we were able to go to a Riverton baseball game and also see The Secret Life of Walter Mitty again. We met up at the packed dollar theater with some cool cousins, Ashlie and her husband Garrett. We also had a lot of fun hanging out with Jodie&Paul and their awesome family. We played games until late and had a crazy funny game of Loaded Questions with some of the night owls (coons) haha jk guys. Anyway, we haven't laughed that hard in a long time, thanks for inviting us over Jodie! We love your family! Jodie also let us hold the little kitty that we're going to adopt once it's big enough to be adopted. It's sooooooo cute and fluffy and tiny... we love it :]

I borrowed this picture from Jodie because I forgot to take some pictures again :\
Sorry for poor video-ing, that's my bad :)     ....Bryce is so cute heehe

Soo tiny, sitting on Bryce's hands :]

Anyway, even though we've been super busy, it's been a fun week. We are loving the warmer weather and we're pretty excited for Spring. Bryce and I were remembering a game that we used to play a lot with his family. It's called The Proverbs Game. If you want to play, you can put your answer as a comment in the comment area. We wanted to see what people would come up with :) You take part of a proverb and you finish it with whatever comes to mind. Some turn out pretty funny. So here's the first part, finish it if you'd like: "The early bird..."

"Stop Dreaming, Start Living"

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty...

This is a great movie, you should consider seeing it if you haven't :)
Love, Us

Don't You Quit

Trials are a part of everyone's life. Although trials are difficult, trying, and sometimes feel unbearable... they help us become stronger, they build us to become who we need to be, they can help us learn certain lessons/patience, and they hopefully bring us closer to Christ. I don't always know why things happen or why life seems so confusing sometimes, but I know that everything will work out if we do our best and trust in God. His timing is perfect.

Bryce and I teach some of the 9 year olds in primary, and the lesson last Sunday was about the Prophet Abraham. I love when I get to watch Bryce teach, he is a great teacher and I learn a lot from him. Anyway, we got to learn more about Abraham and the promises that were his, from God, if he remained faithful. He would be given those promised blessings in his life, but also for Eternity. Some blessings don't come right when "we think they should." Our Heavenly Father knows the right time for everything, and His blessings to His children (us) come at the right time. Though this is hard to comprehend at times, and even though we have trials, God will be there to help us and guide us through everything. We will be much happier if we trust Him.
Bryce and I feel more grateful for one another because of the trials we have had in the past. I'm grateful that God answers prayers, often not in the way that we expect, but in a way that is better than we can imagine.

Buying a home was an interesting experience for us. We didn't know what we were doing, to be honest hahah... we found a place that we thought was the right place. Without much thought, we headed to sign some paperwork to start the buying process for this little home. On the way over though, we both felt an uneasy "stupor of thought" about the home.We discovered that neither of us felt good about signing the contract that day. We let our "buyer's agent" know that we needed more time to think. A week later, we felt pretty good about the home. Probably on that same day, the realtor lady called me and said that the sellers would not go down on the price. She said that if we wanted the home that we were going to have to pay a lot of extra money that it wasn't worth. We were relieved that we hadn't signed a contract for that home. Even though we experienced some difficulties while looking for a home...we felt the Lord's hand in our decisions to be able to find the right place at the right time. We're grateful for our home. Along with this post, I'll add for those that are curious, we do want our own kiddos. We have for a while, but we know the Lord will bless us with our own kiddos when the time is right. Everyone has different circumstances and we aren't sure what the Lord has planned, but we know His plans are best.

I love this quote from Elder Holland. It's a great reminder that helps me through tough times. Don't you quit.
