Gratitude for our Savior

In every experience, our Savior is always there for us. Even though there are trials in this life, He is always there to help us, because He knows how we feel. He suffered every pain, sickness, and affliction so that we could live again... so that WE could be happy and return to Him and our Heavenly home. It is through Him and only Him that we can find true happiness in this life and in the eternities. God keeps His promises, are we willing to keep ours? It is worth it to follow Him and to listen to His words through the prophets and apostles today, as well as through the scriptures and daily inspiration. In Matthew 11:28, the Lord says "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." That says it better than I can, but basically if we feel that we can not go on, or if we feel down, worried, etc... there is hope because the Lord is there for us and can help us find peace and rest. Trust in Him and you will feel His love. He is always there, we just need to open our hearts and our lives to His influence and light. I also believe that we can see our loved ones again. Families can be together forever :)    (lds.org has more information about that.) We are so grateful for the love of our Savior, who gave everything so we could live and be happy, and be with our loved ones for eternity.

Marshmallows.

Here's a cute video (mormonmessage) about marshmallows and being patient, even in troubled times. There is always hope :)

Life is a wonderful gift. We've been given everything that we need- to have hope, peace, and joy in this life. It comes through knowing and living the gospel of Jesus Christ. The guidelines are given to keep us free from the chains and unhappy addictions of the world. And when we live the best that we can, the promised blessings are more wonderful than we could even imagine. (We are children of a loving Heavenly Father and we can return to live with Him because of the atonement of Jesus Christ. And through this great blessing, and the blessing of being sealed together in the temple, families can be together forever.)  The only trouble is that the trends of the world discourage the core values that help us to have peace and joy in this life. Family is not always viewed as important, but it should be valued because it is within families that we are brought up and can learn to face adversity with courage and determination. In the home is also where we learn to develop self-esteem and self-value. When a person has self-value, they are more able to respect their own self and others. I think our outward appearance is a clear expression of what we feel about ourselves on the inside. When we're modest and striving to respect our body, we show that we care and that we know who we are. The body is a temple, and it is a gift that we've been given. It is a blessing that we should take care of and respect. We all grow old, but the way we treat our body now, will greatly determine how we feel about ourselves in the future. We can all benefit from a little rejuvenating positive self-talk. That is when we fill our minds with positive thoughts and use positive "I" statements. For example, "I am happy. I am able. I am positive. I am confident. I can do this."  Whatever it may be. You can be happy, able, confident, positive, energetic, enthusiastic, strong, wonderful... etc... because what you choose to be, is what you will be.   :) Life may have trials, but through the positive words of God, through Latter-Day prophets and apostles, life can be a wonderful journey... meant for learning, enduring, and enjoying. Be patient and be of good cheer.

Moroni 7:33 (Book of Mormon) "And Christ hath said: If ye will have faith in me ye shall have power to do whatsoever thing is expedient in me."  :) We can endure and live happy because we have the power to overcome our struggles because of what the Savior did for us. I know that is true with all my heart. The things I have written are an expression of my opinions and ideas about things I believe in. (For information about the LDS church visit the website    lds.org     it is happy.)     :]

I hope you will always know that you are loved.
Love, T
